The Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI) had the honour of hosting the Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment (MLJE), Hon. Dr. Abdul Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, on March 18, 2025, as part of his familiarization tour of key institutions under the Ministry. Accompanying the Hon. Minister were a delegation of senior officials from the Ministry, including Madam Gloria Bortely-Noi (Ag. Chief Director), Mr. Hamidu Adakurugu (Director, Finance and Administration), Mr. Dela Sarbah (Ag. Head, Internal Audit Unit – MLJE), Charlotte Hanson (Public Relations Officer), and other senior officers.

In his address, the Hon. Minister reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the key challenges confronting MDPI and pledged support towards enhancing the Institute’s image and service delivery. He commended the Institute for its contributions to productivity development and emphasized the government’s interest in strengthening such institutions for national growth.
The Ag. Director General of MDPI, Madam Rosemond Quansah, delivered a brief but insightful PowerPoint presentation, outlining the Institute’s vision, mission, and core functions. She highlighted MDPI’s significant achievements over the years, its contribution to improving productivity across various sectors of the Ghanaian economy, and the challenges currently facing the Institute.

The visit was further enriched by an interactive session, where the Hon. Minister engaged with staff members, listened to their concerns, and welcomed suggestions from individual staff and departments. MDPI extends its sincere gratitude to the Hon. Minister and his team for the visit and their commitment to supporting the Institute’s mandate. The Institute looks forward to fruitful collaboration with the Ministry in advancing productivity and national development.
